Method Architects has joined forces with top New York interior specialists Grayling Design to deliver restaurateur Keith McNally’s new flagship Balthazar restaurant and bakery in Covent Garden. Balthazar London is McNally’s first venture in the UK and is the London outpost of his acclaimed SoHo restaurant in NYC

Balthazar London is situated on a corner site opposite the Covent Garden Royal Opera House, and a stone’s throw from the Piazza

Method architects worked as co-ordinating architects on the project which harnessed the expertise of some of the best specialist suppliers and craftsmen in Europe and the US

Keith McNally is working in partnership with Richard Caring, owner of The Ivy, Scott’s and Annabel’s, amongst others. McNally made his reputation in NYC with a string of well-known restaurants frequented by celebrities and foodies alike. Time Out says he has been the city’s tastemaker for over 30 years'

The project looks to the NY flagship for spatial design and fittings on a site which is uncannily similar in scale and appearance to its NY sister
